This Eggshell Vessel sports a pleasing form. The texture is from calcium carbide it it’s purest form…eggshells! I love the way you can get such wonderful texture from a by product that is thrown away without a thought.
Applying eggshell is a great time sink, but I love the result when the project is finished. It is reminiscent of a ceramic vessel. The vessel itself is made from walnut wood, a hollow form turned on the lathe. One of a kind.
